What it is, and what it needs.
- How it works
- Infrared panels emit light that is absorbed through the skin and heats the body directly, rather than heating the air in the room.
- Heat
- An infrared room reaches roughly 130 degrees Fahrenheit and above, against roughly 170 for a traditional room in about an hour.
- Wood
- Clearlight builds in western red cedar with a mahogany exterior, or in basswood. Basswood is the hypoallergenic option, nearly odorless and even grained.
- Where it can go
- Indoors. Infrared is designed for indoor use and is generally not recommended for permanent outdoor installation, so an outdoor placement is a conversation with a specialist rather than an assumption.
- Heating technology

- Install

Infrared is where we point members with a smaller space or a preference for lower ambient heat. It is a gentler room with a smaller footprint than a traditional build, and for members who find traditional heat harsh, that difference is the whole decision. Most know which they prefer within one session.
Clearlight is our primary recommendation here. The manufacturer sells direct and owns their own search results, so we will not pretend our job is to introduce you to the brand. Our job is the part that happens at your address: reading the space, coordinating delivery, assembling the room properly, and being reachable afterward. Nothing gets ordered before the space has been read.
Everything here is sourced, delivered, and installed by us. Site preparation, electrical coordination through licensed electricians, delivery and skilled assembly, climate-appropriate protection, and long-term support are part of the project rather than options bolted onto it.
